Our Editorial Remit
Workshopastromingle examines the shared floor where aircraft, automation, maintenance work and people meet.

Independent information, carefully bounded
Workshopastromingle is an independent informational publication focused on robotic aircraft hangar management. We write for maintenance planners, hangar supervisors, aviation readers and people assessing how automated assistance may fit into a maintenance environment. Our central editorial question is practical: how do positioning, inspection support and logistics share a finite hangar floor responsibly?
Our articles explain concepts, operational questions and role boundaries in accessible language. They are not engineering approvals, maintenance instructions, legal advice or substitutes for approved organizational procedures. Aircraft, equipment, jurisdictions and work scopes differ. Readers should consult competent specialists and current applicable requirements before making operational decisions.
How we approach the subject
We distinguish robotic assistance from authority. A system may support movement, observation, scheduling or records, but this does not automatically transfer responsibility for authorization, inspection judgement, maintenance decisions or release. We pay attention to the human work around automation: the briefings, route checks, supervision, stop conditions, recovery and handoffs that make a process legible.
We also treat hangar logistics as part of the operating system. A technically capable machine cannot create clearance where none exists. Equipment storage, delivery timing, access platforms and changing tasks can all alter a planned route. Our editorial coverage therefore considers the whole working floor, not just a device viewed in isolation.
Sources, standards and accuracy
Where helpful, we identify standards bodies and regulatory frameworks as points for further reading. A reference to ISO, EASA or FAA material is not a claim that a particular standard or rule applies to every system or site. Applicability depends on intended use, jurisdiction, equipment design and the organization’s approval framework. Readers should check current authoritative material and seek qualified advice.
We aim to write with care, distinguish established principles from examples and avoid promising that automation eliminates risk. If a topic depends on technical details not available to us, we say so or keep the discussion at a general level. Editorial updates may clarify language or reflect changes in the subject.
